MY IMPRESSIONS ABOUT BOSTON. When I went out of the airport in Boston I was so much impressed and excited. I was happy, really happy! I couldn't believe that I was in America! I was looking at people and everything around me and I didn't believe my eyes. Then we went to school where we met our host sisters and brothers. I was filled with emotions, which were difficult to describe, and I was absolutely happy! I like Boston: it is a very beautiful and magnificent city! There are a lot of old buildings and near them we can see absolutely new skyscrapers. It's wonderful! But everything is different in this city comparing to Saint Petersburg! Everything: people, culture, houses� I can't get accustomed to the way of life of Americans, especially of teenagers. It's so difficult for me! They speak so loud sometimes, have a lot of garbage in their apartments and they have no tradition to eat together. In Saint Petersburg we usually have breakfast and dinner together, with the whole family. And we also change our shoes entering the house! It seems to me that Americans could do everything: they can shout so loud in transport, parks and cafes, they can do what they need not paying any attention to you. But I think that not all Americans are the same! Many of them are polite and thankful. I think that only teenagers are so loud, not other people! But I like my family and everything is OK. I'm lucky that I'm in America! And many people are envious of this! It is an interesting country, of course it has advantages and disadvantages, and Russia has to learn some things from America. I wish my parents and friends could see this country! I am missing them so much! Nadine Smirnov
