ABOUT ME

I have spent only two weeks in the USA, so I cannot say with a firm what is America. But I have seen people in the streets and they seem to be very nice and friendly. When you are going along the street someone will always smile and ask: "How are you?" And even if you are crossing the road on the red light all cars will stop and wait for you. This is not possible in Russia.

The way of life in America is also very different from Russian. Here everybody is busy all day long and cannot get a second of rest. It just seems that Americans do not like to relax at all.

I like Boston very much. It is a very beautiful city. Ancient and modern stand here hand by hand. But the most interesting thing in Boston for me is skyscrapers. In St. Petersburg we do not have such tall and modern buildings. The city is very clean compared to St. Petersburg: you can hardly see any garbage in the streets. There are a lot of green zones in the city. Although Boston is smaller than St. Petersburg there are also a lot of places to visit. We have already been to some museums and historical places.

The Snowden School differs a lot from our school. Students here don't have forms, but everyone has his/her own schedule. It seems very strange to me. The teachers are very nice here and they are not so strict as in our Russian school. There are a lot of computers in school and we can use them when we need. In our school there is only one computer lab.

My host family is very nice. Everybody is friendly and they always worry about me. I spend my free time with them. But I am missing home very much!
